MDS Blog Hop--Bats, Cats and Witches Hats

Fall is here and the holidays are right around the corner!  First up is Halloween, which is my 2nd favorite holiday, right behind Christmas.  I love to decorate for fall...the colors are so beautiful and warm and I am getting a little antsy to decorate now (I am still holding out on 'indian summer', I don't want it to get cold too soon).  Here is a fun new printable I made for Halloween, fun for little kids and big kids and everyone in between.
Download
Make sure you check out the other Halloween printables on my blog, they are linked to  Box.com so they are easy to download and print. This was so easy to make with MDS, my hardest decision is usually what font to use!  Go ahead and try the 30-day free trial and give it a shot!  I'm sure you could come up with something fabulous!

Time to hop through the rest of the bloggers to see what everyone is working on.  Enjoy!

I have been able to see some great fall colors lately (a few weeks early here), I will share some of my photos next week and some new apps I've been playing with, so check back!

MDS Blog Hop--Subway Art

Welcome to everyone coming from Jeanna B's blog--I'm sure you were amazed at her talent!
Last year I did a fun subway art project for Christmas and because I really did it for myself, I used the colors in my home...silly me!  I thought I'd re-do it in more bright traditional colors, since some people may like that, so here you go:
Download

I printed the original as a 16 x 20 poster at Costco, or you could print it as an 8 x 10 also.  Make sure if you upload it to a photo printer, you turn off the auto correct or it may change the colors drastically!
It was so easy to change the colors on MDS, as well as change the space between the letters for subway art (kerning), just some of the many reasons to get the software for yourself! You can try it out for free for 30 days, but at $19.95, it's a perfect gift for the crafter in your life (YOU!!!) And on top of that, Stampin' Up! is still having their MDS print product sale and several downloads are also discounted, so now is the time to do those Christmas cards you've been promising everyone!
Now, hop over to the other Julie, she recently returned from a fun trip to Disney World! LUCKY!!!
It's time for bed!  It's been a long day!

MDS Blog Hop Halloween iPhone Fun!

Welcome to the *NEW* MDS Blog Hop!  Many of you have come from one of my bestie Jeanna Bohanon's blog--isn't she amazing? I always love what she creates! Are you as hungry as I am? Mmmmmmm!!!  As many of you know, I was asked a few months ago to join these talented ladies along with my friend, Cori Kozak, and now we've also added Elizabeth Rush to the line up so that there are now 10 of us "hoppers"!  Woot Woot!  If you add it up, that's more than 20 digital projects each month to inspire and motivate you to create with My Digital Studio.  Each month we will have our theme week on the 2nd Thursday and "what we're working on" week on the 4th Thursday, so there'll be plenty of fabulous ideas throughout the month.  And for those of you who may have missed any particular hop during the month, you can always visit our Pinterest page where we will post each project for you to pin to your heart's content.  We hope that our blog hop will encourage you to create your own projects with MDS.

Now, on to my projects!
My theme was Halloween, and since it's right around the corner, I made some fun iPhone lock screen wallpaper to enjoy whenever you turn on your phone (you know you do it several times a day!!)    Here's what they look like on my iPhone 5:

We Create Blog Hop--Fall Fun

It doesn't seem that it should be October already!  I feel like the holidays are going to creep up on me again and as always I won't be ready. Does that happen to you?  When I was at Target a few weeks ago, I was looking at the wall of Christmas lights thinking "Does it really take 3 months to put your Christmas lights up?"  My brain can only focus on one holiday at a time, so this month it's Halloween--YAY!!! If you have followed my blog at all you know that I have a passion for printables.  In fact, I think some of my very first digital projects were Halloween printables, so I say, why mess with a good thing, right?

I've got to look for a perfect frame for this and when I find one, I will post a photo.  Make sure you check out the other Halloween printables on my blog and then hop right on over to see what darling fall project Michelle has come up with this month.

MDS Blog Hop--iPhone 5 Wallpaper

How many of you uploaded iOS 7 this week?  I did finally, after getting a error--I think all of you were crashing the system!  Well, since I've been updating my phone, I might as well update my screens, right?  I have been doing a bunch of MDS stuff for my phone and I will share that with you soon, but for now, I will share my lock screen wallpaper.  The lock screen is the first screen you see with the clock and date at the top and the slider at the bottom.  I designed the wallpapers around those items.  This is how it looks on my phone:

When you download these wallpapers, save to your camera roll, then pick the wallpaper you want to use and select the "share" button.  You will see the option "save as wallpaper", then you can choose which screen you want to save it to.

Here are three different lock screen wallpapers you can use on your iPhone 5.

I hope you enjoy these wallpapers, I will be designing some home screen wallpapers as well!  Check back next week!  Make sure you check in with my talented friends and see the fun things that they have been working on!

I'm looking forward to the high being in the 70's today, it hasn't been that temp since May!
Yay fall!!

MDS Hop--Home Decor

So sorry it's been so long since I posted.  Life just got in the way--as it always seems to! This project is one that I used as my 3D Artisan entry.  This is definitely a labor of love!  I won't tell you how many hours were spent on this project, but it was a lot!  The letters are not fonts, they are all punches or stamp brushes that were cropped!  Yep, you got it, all of these letters are from MDS!  The original Artisan entry was done with a faux canvas wrap in 12 x 12 and it looked like a real wrapped canvas (sorry, no picture)!  I plan on doing more of these for gifts--the only problem is that when I pull up this particular project in MDS it is so component heavy that it takes FOR-EVER to load and change, GRRR!  Hopefully, if I get my upgraded OS for my Mac, it will help a bit.  Anyway, it still looks good in a regular frame.

MDS Blog Hop--Time for School!

Ten days and counting down before my baby starts her senior year of high school!  Wow, has it really been that long?  It's amazing how you blink and they are all grown up!  It's also hard to believe that my oldest will be 21 next week!  Really? A full-on adult?  I don't remember getting old!  Well, as my shock is settling in, I will post my very first MDS blog hop project as an OFFICIAL MDS HOP DESIGN TEAM MEMBER!!!  WOOT WOOT!!  I was so honored to be asked when I went to convention! I don't feel quite up to par with the other talented ladies on the Design Team, but I hope to learn as much as I can from each one of them!  Each one has a beautiful style all their own and they always amaze me with their fantastic projects each month--it'll be hard to keep up with these creative gals, but I will do my best!
Now, on to the projects!  This month's theme is school/pocket card project, but since I think I'm the only one without young'uns, I couldn't really get away with some of the cutesy, fun posters that are all over Pinterest for the first day of school and I really struggled with what to do.  Then I remembered my daughter's huge binder for her kindergarten class. (She gets to teach kindergarten a few days a week at her school!) It's not a normal size binder, it's a crazy big binder that only comes in a few dull colors (yawn!!!) She has class assigments, projects, worksheets, activites, ideas and tons of other papers.  She carries this 4-5" binder around all the time and I thought it would be fun to make a nice cover sheet to spice it up a bit.

I did two different styles, one a little more pretty and one more fun. You can download them for free!  I deleted the name so you can add whatever you want in the box. The first one uses mostly Be Yourself components and the second one uses a mix of several stamps from Seriously Aweseome, Game Day, Fantabulous You, Today & You, and Border Banter. You can find all of these sets here.  Make sure you check out all of the fun school projects the other hoppers have come up with!  A quick congrats to our resident Stampin' Up! Artisan team members, Jeanna Bohanon and Cindy Schuster, they are so deserving! And a welcome to my cyber friend, Cori Kozak, who is the newest crazy-talented design team member with me!

Happy hopping!
