New Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs

I have been a bit under the weather since the holidays so I am very behind, sorry.  Here are the new catalogs! They have so many cute, fun, and fabulous stamps and accessories inside that it's hard to know where to look first!  Make sure you take a look and tell me what you think!

I hope you can find something to be creative today!

We Create Blog Hop--Love Sparkles

Well, we've had a very eventful holiday season!  First of all, our youngest child got engaged! We are so excited her and her fiancĂ© and are looking forward to a beautiful spring wedding! Immediately after, both my husband and I got sick and that lingered for weeks (yuck!) It's really hard to get anything done during the holidays when you are sick...that being said, neither my Christmas tree nor the house got decorated until the middle of December. Our oldest child moved out into an apartment and a week later the youngest child moved back home (until the wedding!) We were empty nesters for about 1 week (hooray!!) Our youngest turned 21 and then it was Christmas and now it's New Years. That's a lot to happen in one month!

Now we get to look forward to the amazing new Occasions catalog as well as Sale-a-bration! Demonstrators have already been flooding Pinterest with many beautiful creations from these new catalogs and there were some new sets that at first didn't tickle my fancy, seeing the projects the other demonstrators have come up with have changed my mind. I will be posting the catalogs on January 4th so check back to see what Stampin' Up! has come up with!

I spent a bit of time stamping this week and was excited to get out my new product. Falling Petals Embossing folder is a lovely touch, one way it looks like hearts and the other way it looks like petals. Love Sparkles stamp set looks beautiful with our embossing powders and is perfect for many different occasions. On the stepped up version, I added some silver Glimmer paper and Rhinestones to the image stamped and embossed on paper from our new Sending Love DSP pack.

I think you will love the new catalogs and I hope you can get a little bit of inspiration from the bloggers today!
I'm looking forward to 2017! I wish you all the best in the coming year!

We Create Blog Hop--Occasions 2016 Step Up!

Happy New Year!! We've had an amazing Christmas season and are all ready to hit the ground running now that it's January!  Today is the unveiling of the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs! Aren't you excited?

If you are familiar with Sale-a-bration, you know that there are fantastic new stamp sets and accessories that are only available for a few months and cannot be purchased...they must be earned!  With every $50 in purchases, you get to pick from the great products in the SAB catalog.  If you join Stampin' Up! during SAB you can receive your starter kit for only $99 (reg. $125) plus another $30 in free product!  Even if you have just been thinking about signing up, you should jump in NOW!!!  Finally, if you host a workshop or party during SAB you get $25 more in Stampin' Rewards to spend in the catalog (with a qualifying $250 workshop).  Have I piqued your interest yet? Contact me for more information or if you would like your own copy of the Occasions catalog or the SAB brochure.

My step-up project is done from products from the Occasions catalog.  I love this catalog! It has so many different styles and designs.  There is something for everyone.  A couple of my favorites are the Balloon Celebration stamp set as well as Shine On specialty designer series paper.  The paper is a kraft base with bold, bright designs on one side and silver foil designs on the other!  This is soooo me!  I may have to get another pack...just sayin'.  I loved using the Box Punch Board to make my little box to match my card!
Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper

Balloon Bouquet Punch

Fun colors with a touch of bling of Bermuda Bay sequins along with the Balloon Bouquet punch, which I adore!  The shine of the foil in the photos is not easily seen, but trust me when I say this DSP is a must have!!

We have a few people missing from our blog hop this time, but head over to Tanya's and the rest of my friends to find some inspiration.

I pray that you all have a very prosperous and happy new year!

We Create Blog Hop--March Madness!

Sorry for the delay!  This has been a super busy time, it's really hard to believe that it's already been a month since my last post :( I keep telling myself that things will start to slow down and get a bit easier but that is not the case.  Creating is such a part of who I am that when I don't have the opportunity to make something, I don't feel like myself.  Well, this is what I created for March Madness, because I am sure that March will be completely mad, but with the mild winter we have had here in Utah, I expect that soon we will be seeing beautiful flowers all over (I have seen them already sprouting up!!)
Yesterday was my birthday (Yay!) and my cute friend brought flowers to me at work (Yes, I had to work on my birthday!!) It was such a surprise to me and it made me so happy that she would think about me enough to come to my work and bring flowers! It really did make my day!  This card will be going to her! I used a small circle of Best Year DSP from the fabulous Sale-a-bration catalog and the stamp is also from Best Day Ever set from SAB.  They are only available until the end of March, so don't delay!  I love the soft palette with the browns.  I used the Early Espresso embossing powder to add dimension and shine to the sentiment.  I love the Clear faceted buttons, they add some bling but are neutral so can be used in any color palette.
I really want to spend more time creating, I really just need to pick a day to spend in my craft room--it just makes me so happy that I need to carve out time in my busy week to create.  How do you find time in your busy lives to do what you love to do?  I'd love some suggestions!

We Create Blog Hop--Sale-a-Brate 2015!

Sorry I've been MIA for a month.  Life is just crazy and I'm trying to keep up.  Anyway, I just found out this week that I am officially a permanent employee at Crate & Barrel and I'm thrilled!  I'm trying to time manage better, but still the "extras" (like blogging) are falling on the back burner at this time. Creating is my passion and I need to make more time for creativity. Right now, I'm cramming when I need to make something and while I usually don't like time constraints, my creative juices seem to flow better when I'm working last minute...Yikes!!  This was what happened for this project.  I really can't take much credit for this card, I totally CASE'd it from the talented Patty Bennett.  I got up early Saturday morning and quickly put this card together and took some photos before I had to be at work at 9:30am!  Is it just me or is this the cutest DSP!! I love the colors and the patterns of the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper!  I may have to get another package of it (paper hoarder--yep, that's me!!) Both the Best Day Ever stamp set and the DSP are from the Sale-a-bration catalog and are only available until the end of March, so don't wait too long!
Well, that's it for today.  I will try really hard to share something for Sale-a-bration once a week--there's so much to see and I figure that if I commit to something for a short amount of time, I don't feel so overwhelmed!  See you soon!

We Create Blog Hop--Sale-a-brate!

If you didn't know already, it's time to Sale-a-brate!  Sale-a-bration started Tuesday and goes through March 31 this year. There are so many cute things you can get for FREE with a qualifying order, and much of what is in the Sale-a-bration catalog will go buh-bye after the promotion is over, so don't wait.
My card is a CASE of Elisabeth Bellville's card.  I just loved the layout, so I used the new Petal Parade set from the SAB catalog along with the fun Decorative Dots embossing folder (my favorite!!).  I am really starting to love all the gold accents in the Occasions catalog, so I added the gold baker's twine and gold foil sheet as well as the fun gold sequin trim to add just a bit more bling to the gold Stampin' Emboss powder. And oops... I forgot that my gold marker didn't carry over into the new catalog, sorry.  Ya think that's too much gold?
Time to hop over to Michelle and see which fun Sale-a-bration product she used (there's so many to choose from).

I've had a bit of extra time to create, so I will be post a few new projects this week, YAY!!

Sale-a-bration 2014

It's that time of year again!  Make sure you check out the new Sale-a-bration catalog to see what free stuff you can get if you purchase $50 in Stampin' Up! product.  This year, Stampin' Up! has actually put together project bundles to help you easily get your free product as well as have different projects to create.  If you are interested in hosting a workshop, you can also receive free Sale-a-bration product on top of the wonderful hostess benefits already available.  I have some dates available to schedule your own workshop, so contact me quickly.  Lastly, if you decide that you would like to become a demonstrator, now is a great time because new recruits receive $150 in Stampin' Up! products for just $99.  You have until March 31 to join, but don't wait that long, you'll want to invite your friends to have their own Sale-a-bration workshops (I can help you with that!).  Let me know what your favorite products or projects in the Sale-a-bration catalog, I'd love to hear what you think.

Enjoy your day!

One more week of Sale-a-bration

If you haven't guessed already, I kind of LOVE the Sycamore Street DSP from Sale-a-bration!  Although I'll be sad that I can't use in in demonstrations, I still get to use it in My Digital Studio!  It came on a disk that you can get for FREE when you have a qualifying order, so contact me or go to my website to see all the fun stuff you can get for free, but just for one more week--no pressure!  Don't forget to try the MDS2 30-day free trial while you're there!  So, since it's completely gorgeous here in Southern Nevada, I thought I'd make a fun, bright, cheery card, and what's more fun, bright, and cheery than a pinwheel?  This is made using the Pinwheel die for the Big Shot and all you have to do is put it together, easy peasy, right? Well, only if you have really great vision!!!  Ok, so it took me a bit of time to put the tiny brad though the tiny holes, but I love the final product.  I'm really thinking I need to make a larger one for decoration, so stay tuned!

I also have a fun My Digital Studio card that I created a while ago, but I decided to change up the colors I had originally done the card in and print it through Stampin' Up!'s great printing service.  These colors just say "Spring" to me, don't you think?  I picked them using the color combo selector in My Digital Studio, so I didn't even have to think that hard (I just added the Pale Plum)!

Hope the weather is looking brighter where you are!

Birthday Card, Take 3

I took a bit of a break from challenges for a few weeks, but this week I decided to hit two birds with one stone and do a challenge birthday card.  The Mydigitalstudio.net challenge was Sale-a-bration 2013, using any of the FREE products available during SAB.  I made it a birthday card because of my birthday month, this month.  The ribbon, button, DSP, and "Happy Birthday" stamp brush are all from the One Big Sale-a-Bration disk and the Honeycomb overlay is available in the Twitterpated digital kit.  I love the colors of the Sycamore Street DSP, don't you?
Make sure you check out Mydigitalstudio.net and see all the fun projects!

Sale-a-bration is here!

Are you ready?  Sale-a-bration is here!  You are gonna want to earn as many of these products as you can!  How can you earn free products, you might ask? Well, the first way is to host a workshop!  Invite your friends for some stamping fun and light snacks!  The second way is for every $50 in Stampin' Up! product you purchase, you can choose one free item from the Sale-a-bration brochure!  The third way is to sign up to do what I do--be a demonstrator!  Everyone who signs up to be a demonstrator during Sale-a-bration will get 25% more in their starter kit!  Let's get together and see what fun we can have!  I've got a few dates on my calendar, so contact me if you are interested in hosting a workshop--you will love it!  You can view the brochure here.  Happy Sale-a-bration!
