We Create Blog Hop--Retirement Party!

Hey everyone! I recently was able to attend my first "On Stage" gathering for Stampin' Up!  While we used to call it convention, our global company requires adaptations and changes to allow the company to include as many demonstrators as possible, hence On Stage!  On Stage Live took place in Salt Lake City, Utah this time (the last one was in Brussels, Belgium!) and On Stage Local events take place in cities across the globe.  It was great meeting with my good friends and of course stamping!!  I did get to walk on the stage for my 20 years in Stampin' Up! YAY!!!! (I'm a couple months early, but I may not get a chance next time). I love this company!!
We always have a great time at our Stampin' Up! events, and even with the changes, it was a total blast!  The next On Stage Live will be in Australia, so most likely I will not be attending that one, but maybe I will be able to make it to one of the local ones in the US.
Since we just received the brand new catalog at On Stage and also the retired list, I thought I'd use some of the items that will be retiring soon, namely Cherry On Top DSP and Silhouettes and Script (host only) stamp set, as well as the 2 1/2 in. Circle Punch and Decorative Dots embossing folder. These items are only available while supplies last, so don't wait!
On my basic card, I cut the paper on a little bit of a slant to give it some interest and stamped the hat with Crushed Curry. Easy card to make for a last minute party or if you need to do several at a time. Great to put on a gift or as an invitation!
The stepped up card I turned the other direction and stamped the hat in Crushed Curry and Watermelon Wonder and fussy cut around the hat and top and mounted with Dimensionals. I ran a piece of Pool Party through the Big Shot in the embossing folder for texture and added some beautiful Whisper White 5/8 in. Satin Ribbon (which happens to be on sale right now!!)

I am always a bit sad when they announce the retired items! Some of them I have loved and used regularly, but I know that to make room for the new, some of the 'oldies but goodies' need to say goodbye.  I have seen the new catalog, (okay, it's sitting next to my bed so I can peruse it every night!!) so I am excited for it to be released to the customers--I'm pretty sure you are going to LOVE it!  Please contact me if you want your own copy of the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! catalog!

Time to head over to see the rest of my crafty friends and their creations!

We've had some lovely days here with the occasional rain storm, but I think we've finally said "so long" to the snow in the valley...finally!!  Hope you are enjoying some beautiful, sunny weather!

Stampin' Up! Retiring list 2013

This is the time of year that I both adore and abhor!  I love getting the brand-spankin'-new Stampin' Up! catalog with all the fun, exciting new items!  I spend hours just perusing the pages with sticky notes (and my glasses) finding my new favorites and getting tons of ideas for cards, gifts, classes, and workshops.  On the other hand, a new catalog ALWAYS means that something has to go...some items are harder to let go than others (sigh).  There are some stamp sets that will be hard to let go, but lucky for me I have MDS where I don't have to worry about retired items or even retired colors--they are all safely tucked away in my laptop where I can play with them anytime I want!  If you are interested in hosting a workshop, please contact me and we will plan something for your guests that they will enjoy. Check out my website for the list of retired items, but don't wait, some of these products go fast!

Have a great day!

Color Refresh and Free Shipping Weekend

I've been around a long time (I'm in my seventeenth year as a demonstrator!), and I have seen some changes, but I actually love it when Stampin' Up! makes changes to their colors because they always want to be on trend and up to date with their products!  We are moving around some favorites and adding back former and current In Colors into the basic color collections, plus adding one brand-new color, Smoky Slate!  Here's the new line up:
Now, I know there will be favorites that you hate to see go, but I know that you will love these updated color collections as much as I do!  And if you really don't want to see them go--you can always use MDS, where the colors are there forever and you can use them whenever you want!  You can still get all of these discontinued ink pads, refills, selected markers, and card stock, but only while supplies last, so don't wait too long!

Also, this weekend we are having a FREE SHIPPING promotion!  From Saturday, April 6 to Monday April 8, 2013, you can get anything and have it sent to you for FREE (excluding expedited shipping)!  Take advantage of this great opportunity to get some ink pads, stamps, and few packets of card stock for those thank you cards you need to send or maybe you've been eyeing that Big Shot and a few dies, now's the time!  For all of you online customers, use the code 2V2UBUDZ on your order.  Go to my website now to see all the awesome products we have for you!

One last thing, due to manufacturing issues, Stampin' Up! has decided to discontinue their watercolor crayons and watercolor pencils.  You can still use your ink pads, ink refills, and markers along with the Aqua Painter and our Blender pens to make beautiful watercolored projects

Enjoy your day!
