New Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs

I have been a bit under the weather since the holidays so I am very behind, sorry.  Here are the new catalogs! They have so many cute, fun, and fabulous stamps and accessories inside that it's hard to know where to look first!  Make sure you take a look and tell me what you think!

We Create Blog Hop--Yay! It's a Brand New Catalog!

I'm just trying to get back after our busy wedding month, but I'm glad everything is over and life is basically back to normal. I'll share more about the wedding soon, but until then, here's the happy couple. Congrats to Kylie and Matt! (photo by Heather Wagner)

Anyway...the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! catalog goes live today! So, we must celebrate!

This is such an amazing catalog! You can view it online, or you can get a copy from me, just message me and I will get one to you in the mail.

I'm LOVING the new In-Colors! Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon-Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. They work so well with so many of our Collection colors as well as with each other. One of my favorite colors is Lemon-Lime Twist, so I used it on both my cards.

The basic card uses LLT card stock and classic ink pad along with the Craft White pad. The Happy Celebrations stamp set is returning from the Occasions catalog (yay!). I love to use all the shapes for backgrounds, so many options. I added some Rhinestones I colored with the Chalk Marker (you can also color them with Sharpie markers!)

The stepped-up version uses Watercolor paper and some of the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper in Berry Burst. I stamped Berry Burst and Lemon-lime Twist on the watercolor paper and then I spritzed it with water. After it dried, I stamped Playful Backgrounds in Basic Black. Finally, I stamped the "celebrate" with White Craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

We Create Blog Hop--Love Sparkles

Well, we've had a very eventful holiday season!  First of all, our youngest child got engaged! We are so excited her and her fiancé and are looking forward to a beautiful spring wedding! Immediately after, both my husband and I got sick and that lingered for weeks (yuck!) It's really hard to get anything done during the holidays when you are sick...that being said, neither my Christmas tree nor the house got decorated until the middle of December. Our oldest child moved out into an apartment and a week later the youngest child moved back home (until the wedding!) We were empty nesters for about 1 week (hooray!!) Our youngest turned 21 and then it was Christmas and now it's New Years. That's a lot to happen in one month!

Now we get to look forward to the amazing new Occasions catalog as well as Sale-a-bration! Demonstrators have already been flooding Pinterest with many beautiful creations from these new catalogs and there were some new sets that at first didn't tickle my fancy, seeing the projects the other demonstrators have come up with have changed my mind. I will be posting the catalogs on January 4th so check back to see what Stampin' Up! has come up with!

I spent a bit of time stamping this week and was excited to get out my new product. Falling Petals Embossing folder is a lovely touch, one way it looks like hearts and the other way it looks like petals. Love Sparkles stamp set looks beautiful with our embossing powders and is perfect for many different occasions. On the stepped up version, I added some silver Glimmer paper and Rhinestones to the image stamped and embossed on paper from our new Sending Love DSP pack.

I think you will love the new catalogs and I hope you can get a little bit of inspiration from the bloggers today!

We Create Blog Hop--It's Here!

Today's the day! The new Stampin' Up! 2016-2017 annual catalog!  I've been perusing the pages for 6 weeks and I've been so excited for my customers to see it...and order from it!

I have no doubt you will "Find Your Inspiration"right here.  From all-inclusive kits to stamps and accessories, you will find something for you!

I will apologize now because I didn't do a stepped up project.  Honestly, I just ran out of time and didn't get the pictures of the basic card.  I used the new Moroccan Nights with Dapper Denim and Copper Stampin' emboss powder.  My tip: buy a copper Sharpie!  You can color many of our amazing accessories with the Sharpie to coordinate with the ep and the new copper Metallic Thread. That's what I did with our our Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  I used the Dapper Denim ink pad and swiped it across some Whisper White cs and then spritzed it with water after it dried. It looks kind of like a starry sky. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see all the new creations made with new catalog stuff!  I already have a board on Pinterest just for the new catalog--you can follow my boards at www.pinterest.com/stampinjul.

Summertime!

{YAWN} Aw man, I am pooped!  I haven't been sleeping as well and I am feeling it!  I've been able to make a few things for different occasions, but I still struggle most days to find time to do the things I want to do instead of the things I have to do.  I love the new catalog and I have enjoyed playing with a few of the new items I've purchased.  I'm really looking forward to our final Stampin' Up! convention coming up in just a few weeks...YAY!!!  SU! is changing the way they do their annual conventions now that the company is all over the world. I am really looking forward to see the fun and excitement the new changes will bring.
I thumbed through the new DSP paper pack called Cherry On Top--how darling it that?  There are beautifully-colored patterns that are just perfect for celebrations.  I used a returning favorite Endless Birthday Wishes and my go-to Framelit Chalk Talk as well as the Ovals Collection for the scalloped edge.  My little tag has a fun cupcake I made with the Cupcake Builder punch and the 1" circle punch. Doesn't it look good enough to eat?  Ok, I really need to get to bed, but don't forget to visit all the other bloggers to see the fun they've created!

We Create Blog Hop--Brand New Catalog!

It's here!  The 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! catalog goes live today at 11am Pacific Time!

There are so many new, fantabulous products in this new catalog, my list is growing longer by the minute!!  You'll have to forgive the shortness of this post, I've got so much going on with our move that I will make this short and sweet.

I made part of this card at my friend Jeanna's (thanks, girlie!!) It's good when you have a friend who gets new stuff first!  The inside of the card is done with Dotty Angles for the background (I like the bokeh look!) and High Five for the sentiment with gold embossing powder.  Envelope card is made with Tangerine Tango and the Envelope punch board, Decorative Dots embossing folder, a bit of gold washi tape and a heart stamp from Something to Say embossed and punched out with the heart in Pink Pirouette from the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Project Life by Stampin' Up! Card

Did you hear the news? This card seriously took me a couple minutes!  Really! I punched out a few little circles from our silver glimmer paper and added the baker's twine and stuck it all together--done! The colors are fun and festive for any day or celebration.  I'm sure that more of these cards are in my future (I always seem to need a last minute card) and since these new kits coordinate with all of our Stampin' Up! colors, adding any of our embellishments or stamps will tie it all together. The new 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! catalog is just one week from going live--have you seen any sneak peaks yet?  Would you like a catalog of your very own?  Contact me and I can get one in your hands, but I have to warn you, you might want to arrange for take-out, because you are not gonna wanna put it down!  The layout is new this year with many step-it-up instructions for super cute projects. My wish list grows each time a look at it!  I will share a card that I made with the new Work of Art stamp set.  This set is going to go next to Gorgeous Grunge on my desk--definitely a "go to" stamp set.  I'm loving Coastal Cabana and gold together (with a touch of Bermuda Bay).

We Create Blog Hop--Celebrate the Everyday

Wow, it feels like forever since I posted, but it's really only been a couple weeks--crazy! I was sick for almost 2 weeks, and with the holidays in between, blogging went to the bottom of my "to do list". We purposefully postponed our blog hop until today because the new Occasions Catalog goes live today.  It's time to Celebrate the Everyday!

You are going to love the products in this catalog, they are just so much fun!  I was able to make a few projects with some of the items in the Occasions catalog, so check these out.

If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you know that I'm all about modern and bold, so these card shouldn't surprise anyone. I love the masculine look of this card.  I used Kaleidoscope DSP, Starburst Sayings and the Starburst framelits die along with Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Real Red card stock. It's an easy card, but I will definitely need to wear my glasses the next time I use those framelits.

Typography is big right now and I love the look of ampersands.  The Ampersand embossing folder is very cool and on trend.  I did a very simple card and added just a bit of bling with the Silver Glimmer paper to make it pop.

The base of this card was made by using the Simply Scored tool on Very Vanilla card stock to make the grid then with some card stock scraps (Crumb Cake and So Saffron), I used the corner rounder on my Envelope punch board and a circle punched in Tangerine Tango.  The Just Sayin' set along with the matching framelits is a great bundle to get started and has many fun sentiments.  I also love the colors of the Retro Fresh DSP (which goes with the new Retro Fresh This & That smash journal and all the stamps and embellishments that coordinate) I absolutely will be using more of this.  I hope you enjoyed these fun creations, I was just glad to get back to creating again.
